Häcken II

Gothenburg's football map is crowded with women's sides, and Rambergsvallen sits at the edge of it, still hosting matches. That is where BK Häcken's reserve side plays, a squad that exists for one purpose: to move players from youth football into the first team, BK Häcken FF.

The team was only set up in 2022, so its short history reads as a run through the divisions rather than a record of finishes. It started in Division 1 Södra, won promotion to Elitettan for 2023, and by 2024 had settled into a rhythm: third place in Division 1 Södra with 14 wins from 20 games, finishing behind Eskilsminne IF and IFK Göteborg. No trophy yet, and that is not really the point of a team built to supply another one.

Its nearest matches are against other Gothenburg clubs, IFK Göteborg and Örgryte IS among them, games known locally simply as the Kvinnoderby rather than by any name specific to Häcken. The reserve side carries the parent club's yellow and black and its badge too, with no separate identity of its own.
