Holstebro TTH

Two clubs from Holstebro carried elite handball through the late 1990s on separate books until Holstebro Håndbold 90 and Tvis KFUM put their first teams together on 1 May 2000. The arrangement nearly came apart two years later, when the parent clubs fell out over terms and the elite squad only survived by being cut loose into its own legal entity at the last moment. It carried the name Team Tvis Holstebro until June 2016, when the club dropped it for TTH Holstebro, tying the name more plainly to the city itself.

In 2020, with the pandemic reshaping club budgets across Danish handball, the men's and women's sections split into separate organisations, and the women play on today as Holstebro Håndbold.

Matches against Skjern Håndbold carry the weight of the club's rivalry, played out as the West Jutland derby a short drive across the region. Home games are played in front of 3,250 at the Gråkjær Arena.
