Kafr Qasim is an Arab town in central Israel. In 2002, two local sides, Hapoel Kafr Qasim and Maccabi Kafr Qasim, merged into one club, which plays at the Bat Yam Municipal Stadium, a ground that holds 2,800.
The merged club took the name Ha-Yerukim, the Greens. The predecessor Hapoel academy produced Walid Badir, who passed through the youth ranks there in the late 1980s before going on to win 74 caps for Israel.
A second promotion, out of Liga Alef South in 2019, carried the club up to where it competes now, in Liga Leumit, the second tier of Israeli football.
