In the summer of 2011, Kepez residents found themselves fighting to keep a club most Turks outside Antalya had never heard of, after a reported attempt to sell the football team met local opposition and collapsed.
Bölge 3. Grup and up through the play-offs into the TFF 3. Lig. The team now plays in the TFF 2. Lig Beyaz Grup, still chasing the rivalries that matter most to its own supporters — against Kestelspor and Serik Belediyespor, other municipal clubs from the same province rather than any name recognised further afield.
