The pitch at Phnom Penh Crown Stadium seats only about 5,000. The ground itself has gone by other names — Smart RSN, RSN Stadium among them — as sponsors came and went.

It started in 2001 as Samart United, then passed through Hello United, Phnom Penh United and Phnom Penh Empire before Crown Casino's backing gave it the name it has carried since 2010. Under that name it has won the Cambodian Premier League eight times, and in 2022 added the league cup and super cup to complete a domestic treble. That season carried weight beyond the trophies: club president Oknha Rithy Samnang died in May, and the players dedicated the League Cup win to him.

Orn Chanpolin has captained the side up through the academy Crown built in 2010 on an Everton-style model. Ukrainian coach Oleh Starynskyi has run the team since late 2020 and was named Coach of the Year in 2021.
