Robur Siena

Gill Voria took over as head coach of a club that, four years earlier, did not exist under any name a supporter would have recognised. The Siena that reached Serie A between 2003 and 2014, fielding Rodrigo Taddei and Marco Borriello and finishing under Antonio Conte's guidance to win promotion in 2011, went bankrupt in 2014. An interim body, ACN Siena 1904, had already come and gone in between. The current club, Siena Football Club Società Sportiva Dilettantistica, was set up in 2024, and that September the sporting title passed to Atlas Consulting, run by Simone Giacomini. Jonas Bodin serves as president.

Under Voria the side now plays in Serie D, a level the old Siena last occupied on its way up rather than down, and does so at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, which holds 15,373. The black-and-white stripes give the club its nickname, I Bianconeri, though older supporters still call it La Robur. The fixture against Arezzo, known as the Derby della Chiantina, remains the one that matters most, with Pistoiese and Fiorentina counted as rivals too.

The honours board reads like a record of repeated climbs rather than sustained standing: two Serie D titles, in 1955–56 and again in 2014–15, bracket the club's various collapses and restarts, alongside Serie C titles won in 1981–82, 1984–85 and 1989–90. The single Serie B championship, from 2002–03, marks the season that opened the door to the club's only years in Serie A. It is that year 1904, printed on every version of the crest since, that the current entity took as its own when it chose a name.
