Promotion from the EnBW-Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in 2022/23 put the team into the A-Junioren-Bundesliga for the following season, and a 13th-place finish in the Süd/Südwest group was modest, but the same squad reached the final of the DFB-Pokal der Junioren that year, losing to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
The regional cup told a different story. Sandhausen beat 1. FC Mühlhausen 8-0 to take the Badischer Pokal in 2023/24, then defended it twelve months later with a 4-0 win over GU-Türk SV Pforzheim.
They wear black and white, the same as the first team, and carry no nickname of their own beyond Sandhausener. The colours are the one thread tying the age group to a senior side whose own rivalry with SV Waldhof Mannheim runs through the wider club rather than through junior football specifically.
