Sandnes ULF

Promotion out of the 2. divisjon last year put Sandnes Ulf back in the OBOS-ligaen. It is the third time the club has won that group — 2007 and 2009 were the earlier ones.

The one time it did, the stay lasted three seasons. A second place in the First Division in 2011 carried the club into the top flight for 2012, 2013 and 2014, and it was the first time since the Second World War that a team from Sandnes had played at that level.

More recent memory belongs to the cup. In 2024 the club reached the semi-final of the NM-cupen and lost 0-2 to Molde.

Home since 2020 is the Øster Hus Arena, which holds 6,046. Before that the club played at Sandnes stadion, a ground it had used since 1927; the move ended a tenancy of more than ninety years. The light blue shirt and white shorts were settled on in 1916, five years after a group in Sandnes founded the club on 1 June 1911 as SK Ulf.
