Abdu Cadri Conté

Conté grew up in the Sporting CP academy, joining in 2011 and staying until 2017, and it was with Portugal's youth sides that he first made a mark: a runner-up finish with the under-19s at the 2017 European Championship, where he was named to the Team of the Tournament. He went on to add a second final with the under-21s in 2021, starting in the semi-final win over Spain on the way. He has not yet earned a senior cap for Portugal, whom he is eligible to represent through his citizenship, or for Guinea-Bissau, where he was born.

His senior career began in earnest with Sporting CP B, for whom he made his debut in January 2017 and went on to play 31 matches in the 2017–18 LigaPro season, training with the first team on several occasions without ever making an official appearance for them. A move to Moreirense followed in July 2019, and he made his Primeira Liga debut for the club the following month, going on to make 61 league appearances there.

In January 2022, Troyes brought him to France, where he made 58 league appearances before a loan spell during the 2024–25 season. He left Troyes as a free agent in August 2025 and signed for Casa Pia, putting pen to paper on a contract running until 2028.
