About the player
Adam Egnell led GAIS in scoring in 2021 with six goals in 28 Superettan matches. That put a midfielder on the Superettan top scorers list.
He came up through his hometown club Motala AIF, where he played from 2016 to 2018 in Division 2 Södra Svealand. He made 67 appearances there and scored 12 goals. Åtvidabergs FF signed him on a free transfer in December 2018. He played 23 matches and scored three goals in Division 1 Södra. A move to IF Sylvia followed in January 2020, and he scored seven goals in 28 matches in Ettan Södra.
GAIS Göteborg signed him on 21 March 2021 on a free transfer. The contract ran for two years, with an option for a third. His six goals that season made him the club's leading scorer.
Landskrona BoIS paid an undisclosed fee for him in February 2022 and gave him a three-year contract. He made 81 appearances and scored 12 goals for the club through the 2024 season. In June 2024 he was nominated for Superettan's Player of the Month. The award went to Dijan Vukojevic.
He left Landskrona in December 2024 and returned on a free transfer in February 2025. His new two-year contract runs until 31 December 2026.
Egnell has no senior caps for Sweden. He won two caps for the under-18 side and two for the under-19s.
