About the player
Ambina joined Renaissance FC de Ngoumou's academy in Cameroon and signed his first professional contract there in July 2019. In February 2022 he moved to South Africa, signing a four-and-a-half-year deal with Cape Town City. The switch to Norway followed in March 2024, when Vålerenga took him on loan; the move was made permanent that June for a reported fee of €500,000.
Ambina was part of the Vålerenga squad that won promotion from the OBOS-ligaen in 2024, and by the end of the 2025 Eliteserien season he had scored six league goals for the club.
Ambina represented Cameroon at under-20 level, earning six caps in 2021. His senior international debut came far more recently, on 27 March 2026, when he featured for the Indomitable Lions in a FIFA Series 2026 match against Australia at Accor Stadium in Sydney, a game Australia won 1-0. That appearance stands as his only senior cap so far, with no goals to his name at that level.
