Marto Boychev

Marto Boychev made his first-team debut for CSKA 1948 in the 2023 Bulgarian Supercup, played on 10 February 2024. It made him one of the youngest players to appear for the club.

He came to CSKA 1948 from the Levski Sofia academy, where he had played until 2022, and continued in the CSKA 1948 academy. In January 2024 he signed a contract with the senior squad that runs until June 2028. That was a few weeks before the Supercup appearance.

Most of his early senior football came in the club's reserve sides. He made 13 appearances for CSKA 1948 III, and for CSKA 1948 II he scored six goals in 24 games. He has since played more than 50 times for the first team and has one goal for it. In 2025 the website Sportal.bg named him its Player of the Month.

Boychev has worked his way up through the Bulgarian youth national teams:

He scored twice in four appearances for the under-15s and once in two for the under-16s. He then played eight times for the under-17s, scoring once. With the under-19s he has nine caps and two goals. He has also played four times for the under-21s, without scoring.

In 2026 CSKA 1948 loaned him to Rilski Sportist Samokov for the rest of the season.
