Ryoya Morishita

Ryoya Morishita finished the 2024–25 Polish Cup as the tournament's top scorer and was named Player of the Match in the final, playing for Legia Warsaw.

Morishita came through the youth ranks at Júbilo Iwata and then Meiji University, and turned professional with Sagan Tosu in 2020. He made 33 appearances and scored three goals there. In January 2021 he moved to Nagoya Grampus on a free transfer. He played 87 matches and scored five goals over three seasons, and won the J.League Cup in 2021.

Nagoya loaned him to Legia in January 2024. He made 30 appearances and scored four goals during the loan. On 17 December 2024 Legia triggered a release clause, reported at €500,000, and signed him to a contract running until the end of 2028–29. Alongside the Polish Cup, he won the Polish Super Cup in 2025.

On 25 August 2025 he joined Blackburn Rovers of the EFL Championship on a three-year deal. The club did not disclose the fee; it was reported at around €2.1 million. He can play in midfield or at right-back or wing-back. By September 2026 he had made 45 appearances and scored six goals for the club. Blackburn named him their Player of the Season for 2025–26.

Morishita made his Japan debut in 2023. His first international goal came on 10 June 2025, in a 6–0 win over Indonesia in 2026 World Cup qualifying. He was later selected for Japan's squad for the finals.
