About the player
He made his debut for Cameroon in a friendly win over Kuwait, and went on to score in three different Africa Cup of Nations campaigns, including a goal against Nigeria in 2019. He was part of the squad that won bronze at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
His club career began at Nice, where he came through the academy before a loan spell in Scotland with St. Mirren. The move that shaped his career came afterwards, at Strasbourg, where he scored 24 goals over four seasons. He carried that form to Angers, where he was the club's top scorer in the 2018/2019 season and finished 13th in that season's Ligue 1 scoring charts.
After four seasons at Angers, Bahoken moved to Turkey, first with Kasımpaşa and then Kayserispor, before signing for Kyzyl-Zhar Petropavlovsk in Kazakhstan.
