ASFB, known to their own as Les Buffles de Sya, carry yellow and black into the Stade Wobi, a 10,000-capacity ground that has hosted them for their recent fixtures even as older records still point to the larger municipal stadium across town.

The club's honours read in waves rather than a steady climb: three league titles, in 1961, 1966 and then a gap of more than fifty years. The Coupe du Faso has been friendlier, won five times between 1986 and 2004, though ASFB have also finished as runners-up in that competition close to a dozen times.

Behind much of that era stood Oumar Diané, the youth coach who worked the club's channels through the 1970s and sent through players such as Amadou Traoré, known as "Le Rouquin", and Taïrou Bangré, nicknamed "Zimako". More recently, Cheick Djibril Ouattara took the club's Best Player and top scorer honours in the 2017-18 season.
