Kribi sits on the Atlantic coast, but the club that carries the city's name rarely plays anywhere near the water. Atlantic uses the grounds at Stade Annexe B d'Olembé in Yaoundé and Stade Annexe de Bépanda in Douala because Kribi itself has no ground fit for Elite Two football.

That absence has not stopped the club from making a mark. In 2024 Atlantic won the Interpoules play-offs to become Champion des Play-Offs, the result that lifted them into Elite Two, Cameroon's second tier, for the first time.

The same year brought a different kind of statement. On 30 November 2024, Atlantic beat Union Sportive de Douala 1-0 at Bépanda to win the first edition of the Tournoi Wouri.

Little is settled about where Atlantic came from. No founding date holds up against the club's own record of what it has actually done, so the story starts with the play-offs rather than an origin. What is fixed is the kit: white, blue and orange, made by Vekam.
