«BSK»
Julia Zigiotti Olme spent two seasons in Bollstanäs SK colours before the move that would take her all the way to Manchester United, a reminder of how often the club has served as a staging post for players headed toward bigger stages. Founded in May 1922, the club has grown into one of the larger sports organisations in the Greater Stockholm area, based in Upplands Väsby, though its senior sides have mostly made their way through the middle and lower reaches of Swedish football rather than the top table.
The women's team has had the more eventful run of it. They were among the clubs that entered the Elitettan when the division was first formed in 2013, only to be relegated after the 2015 season. BSK found their way back for 2021, but that return proved short-lived and they went down again the same year. The side have since climbed back once more, returning to the Elitettan for the 2024/2025 season.
Linda Forsberg, capped for Sweden at international level, is among those who wore the shirt, alongside Linda Fagerström from an earlier generation of the club's history. Home matches are played in yellow and green, the colours giving Bollstanäs IP its identity even at a capacity of 1,500 — modest by the standards of the bigger Stockholm clubs, but enough for a ground with its own artificial pitch and floodlights.
For now, the task in front of the club is the simplest kind: staying in the Elitettan long enough to make the yo-yo pattern of the last decade a thing of the past.
