III. Kerületi TUE

The 1930–31 Magyar Kupa is the only national title in the club's history, and in the final, III. Kerületi beat Ferencvárosi TC 4–1. Imre Senkey was the coach that season. The club has never won the top-flight league. Its best finishes there were third in the 1913–14 Augusta Cup and fourth on four occasions.

Most of the club's silverware sits a division lower. It has won the second tier 18 times, from 1921 to 2015, and the third tier four times. The club began in 1887 as the III. Kerület Gymnastics and Fencing Association, and footballers came later. Between 1926 and 2002 it was folded into VAC, split in two in 1939 and rejoined in 1941. In 2000 the senior team merged with Csepel SC and played as Csepel until 2002. That year the club was re-established as III. Kerületi TUE, and in 2012 it went back to the TVE initials it had carried at the start.

The Hévízi úti Stadion, with room for 3,000, is home to a side in blue and white known simply as Kerület, "the District".

Its local rival is Óbudai TE, the other club in Óbuda. The older grievance is with Ferencvárosi TC, the side it beat in the 1931 final.
