Jabala

Al-Baath Stadium holds 10,000 and sits in Jabala, the coastal town from which the club takes its name.

The club started life in 1958 as Al-Kifah Arabi Club, adopting the name Jabala four years later, and the switch has outlasted almost everything else about those early years. What survived from that period is a claim few Syrian sides can make: among the oldest names still competing in the country's top flight.

The Syrian Cup came twice, in 1998–99 and again in 2020–21, and the second of those has the better story: a 0-0 draw with Hottin SC settled only after a penalty shootout that finished 6-5.

Blue and white have stayed the colours throughout, and the rivalry with Al-Sahel SC down the coast in Tartus gives the fixture list its sharpest edge each season, even if the derby itself has never picked up a name of its own. Beyond the league, Jabala has taken its turn in the AFC Cup, carrying a small coastal town's colours into continental competition.
