China U20 women opened their World Cup campaign with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over New Caledonia in Nouméa on Sunday. The match, part of Group Stage 1, finished with the visitors in complete control from the first whistle. By then, the pattern was already clear: New Caledonia had no answer for the quality difference.

The breakthrough came in the 46th minute when Xiao Yafei found the net just after half-time. Huang Jiaxin doubled the advantage in the 71st minute before Zhou Xinyi added a third five minutes later. The hosts offered little resistance, managing zero shots on target throughout the encounter.

Huang Jiaxin completed her hat-trick in the 80th minute and sealed the result with a fourth goal in stoppage time.
