Dallas came from behind to beat Real Salt Lake 4:3 in the Major League Soccer regular season at America First Field on Thursday. The visitors took a late lead after the hosts had built a comfortable advantage through two early goals from J. Valiente.

Valiente struck twice in rapid succession, opening the scoring in the sixteenth minute before doubling the home side's advantage a minute later. And here's the thing — Dallas responded quickly. P. Musa pulled one back in the twentieth minute, then levelled again just before half-time in the forty-fifth.

M. Guilavogui restored Real Salt Lake's lead in the fiftieth minute, but Dallas refused to settle. D. Luna headed home in the sixty-fourth to bring the visitors level, and the game swung further Dallas's way in the final moments.

R. Binyamin scored twice in stoppage time, first in the ninetieth minute and then again in the first additional minute, to complete the turnaround. By then the home side had lost their grip on the result.

Real Salt Lake controlled possession at 59 per cent and registered seven shots on target, but Dallas were more clinical with five on target against an expected goals tally of 1.54 to 1.45 in their favour.

The defeat leaves Real Salt Lake tenth in the table with 28 points from 21 games, while Dallas move closer to the playoffs in fifth place on 34 points from 22 matches.
