Derlis Rodríguez

Derlis Rodríguez came through the youth ranks at Libertad, where he made five first-team appearances between 2015 and 2017 without scoring. A move to Deportivo Santaní in 2018 gave him regular football and two goals in twenty matches, before his arrival at Tacuary in January 2022.

Tacuary is where Rodríguez built his reputation. Over sixty appearances he scored nine league goals plus two more in the Copa Paraguay, and his form during the 2023 Apertura made him one of the club's most valuable assets. When Cerro Porteño came calling in June 2024: Tacuary initially asked for $500,000, Cerro Porteño offered $200,000, and although the final fee was never made public, the Tacuary president described it as a record sale for the club.

Rodríguez was presented as a Cerro Porteño player on 5 July 2024 and finished the year as a runner-up in the Apertura. He made eleven matches before he fell out of the first-team picture. In June 2025 he moved on loan to Club Guaraní for the Clausura tournament and the Copa Sudamericana playoffs.

At youth level, Rodríguez represented Paraguay, earning seven caps and scoring once.
