Diogo Pinto

Diogo Pinto came through Sporting CP's academy after starting out at Felgueiras 1932 and a spell at Paços de Ferreira, and it was in a Taça de Portugal final that he first drew wide attention: as Sporting's starting goalkeeper in the 2023–24 showpiece, he was beaten twice as FC Porto won 2–1. He got his senior debut in the league that same season, starting a 1–0 win over Estoril in May 2024, one of three first-team appearances he made that year. He also picked up a Primeira Liga winner's medal with Sporting that season, though his part in it was from the squad rather than the pitch, since he did not feature in the league matches themselves. He signed his first professional contract with Sporting in October 2020. In June 2025 Pinto left Sporting on a free transfer to join Estrela da Amadora on a three-year deal. At international level, Pinto has represented Portugal from under-15 to under-21 level, and was part of the squad that reached the final of the 2023 European Under-19 Championship.
