About the player
Eduardo Melo came through Criciúma, joining the club in 2020 and staying attached to it — through three separate loan spells, in Brazil and Japan — until 2025. Concórdia, Giravanz Kitakyushu and Caxias all had him on loan before he returned to Criciúma and then moved on to Remo, first on loan in April 2025 and, four months later, on a permanent deal after Criciúma let him go for nothing while keeping a sell-on clause.
The number that matters for a forward is goals, and Melo's tally reads five for Criciúma, three for Caxias and three for Remo. In 2026 he was Remo's top scorer, with strikes in the Série B and in the Supercopa Grão-Pará, and it was his goal that settled the Supercopa final, a 2–1 win over Águia de Marabá.
