About the player
Facundo Pons has spent his career on the move. At Deportes Limache in 2025, the Argentine centre-forward scored nine goals in twelve appearances, a run that helped push Limache to the final of the Copa Chile, where they lost to Huachipato.
Pons came through at Juventud Pueyrredón before joining Arsenal de Sarandí in 2018, where he stayed under contract for five years despite spending long stretches out on loan, at Deportivo Riestra, Quilmes and Alvarado. He was part of the Arsenal squad that won the 2018–19 Primera Nacional title and went up to the Argentine top flight.
After leaving Arsenal, his career took him to Ecuador with Macará, where he scored six goals in thirteen matches in 2024 before moving on again to Estudiantes de Río Cuarto. A short stint at Defensores de Belgrano followed in 2025, then Chile and the Limache adventure, before a return to Argentina with San Martín de Tucumán in 2026.
He signed for Coquimbo Unido as a free agent in June 2026. Four league appearances in, he is still waiting for his first goal for the club.
