About the player
Justin Ellis came through the academy system without a transfer fee changing hands at any stage. He started out at Inter Miami CF, playing for the U-15 and U-17 sides between 2021 and 2022, before switching to the Orlando City SC academy in 2023, where he worked through the U-17 and U-19 age groups.
The forward made his debut for Orlando City B in March 2024 and settled quickly into MLS Next Pro, scoring nine goals in 40 appearances across the 2024 and 2025 seasons. That form earned him a senior debut for Orlando City SC on 14 May 2025, while still contracted to the reserve side. He was loaned back to Orlando City B for the 2026 campaign after putting pen to paper on his first professional deal.
On 20 February 2026, Ellis signed a Homegrown Player contract with Orlando City, running through 2027 with club options attached for 2028 and 2029.
He has also featured for the United States at youth level, collecting caps for both the U-18 and U-19 national teams.
