Leandro Lozano

Leandro Lozano learned the game at Nacional, where he captained the club's under-20 side to the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 title in 2018. He left as a free agent that year and joined Boston River in January 2019, making 73 appearances over three seasons. A return to Nacional in 2022 followed, first on a temporary basis and then on a permanent deal in January 2023. He won the Uruguayan Primera División title in 2022 and a place in the league's Team of the Season in 2024.

In January 2025 he moved to Argentinos Juniors, with the Argentine club paying his release clause of one million US dollars. Wearing the number 22 shirt, he became a fixture in the side, making 57 appearances and scoring twice, including a long-range strike against Defensa y Justicia.

His performances at Argentinos Juniors led to a move to Boca Juniors in June 2026, for a net fee in the region of US$3.5 million and a contract running until the end of 2030. He was presented as the first signing of Rodolfo Arruabarrena's new spell in charge of the club, taking the number 17 shirt. Lozano has represented Uruguay at youth level, though he has not yet featured for the senior national side.
