About the player
Those moments came alongside 84 caps for Argentina and a haul of international honours: the 2022 World Cup, the 2021 and 2024 Copa América titles, the 2022 CONMEBOL–UEFA Cup of Champions, and a place in the Copa América Team of the Tournament in 2019.
His club career began at Boca Juniors, where he won the Apertura 2011 and the Copa Argentina before moving to Italy on loan, first at Chievo Verona and then at Roma, who signed him permanently before loaning him out again to Empoli. At PSG he collected four league titles, two Coupe de France trophies, a Coupe de la Ligue and three Trophée des Champions, with a season on loan at Juventus along the way.
Paredes returned to Roma in August 2023 and had his contract extended into 2026, but he went back to Boca Juniors in July 2025, presented to supporters that July with the number 5 shirt.
