About the player
Ulises Coronel came through Club Guaraní's youth system before moving into Cerro Porteño's academy, and he made his senior debut with the club on 5 February 2017, playing 18 minutes in a 3–0 win over Rubio Ñú. That season he was part of the squad that won the Torneo Apertura title.
His path afterwards took him away from the capital: a loan to Atlético Colegiales in 2019 preceded a longer spell at Deportivo Recoleta, where he stayed through to 2023. He joined 2 de Mayo in January 2024 and helped the club win promotion to the Primera División. In July 2025 he returned to Deportivo Recoleta on loan until January 2026, with the arrangement set to send him back to 2 de Mayo afterwards.
At youth level, Coronel represented Paraguay at Under-17 level, scoring twice in a 7–1 win over Universidad de San Martín at the 2015 Copa Mitad del Mundo.
