«Roș-negrii»
When Miercurea Ciuc's football club was pieced back together in 2010, the red and black shirt came back first for the men. The women's team followed in 2018, taking the same colours, the same nickname, Roș-negrii, and the same Municipal Stadium.
It did not stay small for long. Liga II was won in the 2021-22 season, taking the club into Liga I Feminin, and the debut top-flight campaign ended in fourth place, improved to third the year after. A first Cupa României final was lost in 2023-24, then won the following season, Farul Constanța beaten 3-0, with Annabelle Nombot named Player of the Match. That fixture against Farul has since carried the weight of a title race in its own right, spoken of as the derby of the Superliga Feminine.
The league title itself has not followed yet — 2025-26 closed as runners-up — but four seasons after their first promotion, the club had a Romanian Cup of its own: 3-0.
