Pacatuba

Pacatuba sits in the Serra da Aratanha, and for a town whose name comes from the Tupi-Guarani words for "place abundant in pacas," it made sense that the club took the paca as its mascot and "Guardião da Serra" as its identity. Associação dos Desportistas de Pacatuba, known simply as Pacatuba Esporte Clube, was founded on 16 January 2010.

The club's two Campeonato Cearense Série C titles, in 2019 and 2022, mark the high points. The first came against Itapipica; the second needed penalties against Crateús. Each title bought a season in the Série B, where sixth place — reached in 2012, 2013 and again in 2023 — has been as far as the club has pushed. The 2019 run also carried an odd footnote: Grêmio Pague Menos used Pacatuba's structure that year to enter the Série C and won the title through it.

Home games are played at the Estádio Betão, officially Alberto Oliveira Sobrinho, which holds around 3,000. The blue and yellow of the shirt has stayed constant even as the club's level has not; after reaching the second tier, Pacatuba dropped back and by 2026 was again working through the Série C.
