The club traces back to 13 December 1924, when Marcelino da Conceição brought together three sides from the town — Aliança, Comercial and Paredense — into a single union.
Paredes won the III Divisão in 1999–00, beating Seixal on penalties, 7-6, in the final, then repeated the feat nine years later. The Taça de Portugal gave the club its best run in 1983–84, a quarter-final reached while still playing in the third tier. The step up in stature arrived in 2021–22, when Paredes topped the Campeonato de Portugal.
