Wildcat Stadium holds 6,000, and in Wayne, Nebraska, that is a full house. It is the only ground the Wayne State Wildcats football team calls home.
The Wildcats play in NCAA Division II, in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Their schedule follows the conference. The fixtures that carry weight are against the Augustana Vikings from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the Northern State Wolves from Aberdeen, South Dakota.
The Wildcats' football is not organised around national titles or television slots. It runs through the NSIC season, and a home game means a 6,000-seat ground in a small Nebraska town.
