FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2025/26

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) organises this tournament as the premier contest for players under 19. It functions as a bridge between the U17 World Cup and senior international basketball, allowing athletes to progress through the federation's age-grade system. The event takes place every two years, having switched from a quadrennial schedule in 2005.

Sixteen national teams compete annually. They begin in a group stage split into four groups of four, with all sides advancing to a single-elimination knockout phase. Participation relies on regional performance; the host nation enters automatically, while the remaining spots are filled through continental championships such as the U18 EuroBasket and U18 AmeriCup. The competition carries no title sponsor in its official name.

The United States stands as the most successful nation, claiming eleven titles since the tournament began in 1985. The Soviet Union secured two victories in the early years, while Australia and Russia have each won once. The United States remains the current champion after defeating Australia in the 2025 final. FIBA renamed the event from the Under-19 World Championship for Women in 2017 as part of a broader rebranding effort.
