Montenegrin Cup (Montenegro) 2026/27

The **Montenegrin Basketball Cup** is the premier domestic knockout competition for clubs in Montenegro. Organised by the Basketball Federation of Montenegro (Košarkaški savez Crne Gore, KSCG), the tournament began in 2006 following the country’s independence. It stands as the second elite national event, operating separately from the Prva A Liga, which crowns the league champion through a round-robin structure. The competition follows a single-elimination format. Early stages include participants from the top flight and the second-tier Prva B Liga. The event concludes with a Final Four weekend staged at a neutral location. Recent editions were hosted in Tivat and Bijelo Polje. KK Budućnost Podgorica holds the record for most victories, claiming the title sixteen times as of the 2024–25 season. They remain the current holders after defeating KK Studentski Centar 105–104 in the previous final. KK Studentski Centar secured the 2023–24 edition by beating Budućnost 81–80 in overtime. The winner earns qualification for European competitions, typically the FIBA Europe Cup or the qualifying rounds of the Basketball Champions League. The Cup operates independently of the regional ABA League, in which Montenegrin teams also compete. There is no promotion or relegation system within the tournament itself.
