Bodrum Women — Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi Women: 69:79, TKBL Women

Bodrum (women) fell to Women's Mersin 69:79 in the TKBL on October 10th. The visitors took all three points at home, extending their advantage over their rivals in the table. By then both sides had played 28 games, and the gap between them remained narrow.

Bodrum sit in 11th place with 10 wins from 28 fixtures, while Mersin occupy 10th with 12 victories. The standings show neither side has accumulated any points yet — the season is still finding its shape. And here's the thing: a single victory keeps you ahead in this race.

We had backed the hosts, giving them a 69 per cent chance. The prediction did not come off. Mersin found an answer when Bodrum's defence played in driving rain of pressure, and the visitors held firm to take the win.

The two sides met earlier this season on April 18th, when Mersin won 75:68. Both teams have since faced similar opposition — Bodrum dropped points against Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyespor and held Urfaspor to a 20:0 shutout, while Mersin lost narrowly to Dardja and suffered a heavy defeat to Emlak Konut Gelişim 2.

The result keeps Mersin one place above Bodrum in the standings. To be fair, the difference between 10th and 11th is slim, and every game now matters as the table settles.
