Collin Sexton Explains Why He Chose the Lakers
Lakers newcomer Collin Sexton says the chance to win on a big stage drove his move, after averaging 15.4 points last season for Charlotte and Chicago.
"I would say the biggest reason was the opportunity to win, to play on a big stage and to put myself in a position where I can help the team win. On the different teams I've been on, that was a lot harder to do. The desire to win has always been there for me, but it's really difficult in the NBA. Every night we play against the best of the best. So for me it's important to be on a stage like that, to affect the outcome every day and bring what I do to the team. I feel like I fit perfectly."
Sexton is 27. Last season he played 68 games between Charlotte and Chicago, averaging 15.4 points, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 23.7 minutes a night.
