Chris Mannix says Pablo Torre could face a lawsuit over the investigation that led to record NBA penalties against the Clippers and Steve Ballmer.
The NBA fined the Clippers $30m and stripped the club of draft picks on 2026-09-04 for circumventing the salary cap in Kawhi Leonard's 2019 contract, also suspending Ballmer for a year.
Mannix made the claim on the Open Floor podcast, citing people inside the Clippers organisation who he says warned of legal consequences for the journalist.
