George Nyang Relieved to Have Curry as Teammate

George Niang has explained the appeal of joining the Golden State Warriors, saying he is relieved to no longer have to face Stephen Curry from the opposite bench.

"I'm not sure people fully understand how nervous you get about a guy like Steph Curry. There were so many times we were up 15 or 16 points against Golden State in the fourth quarter, with two minutes left, and we still thought: right, this game isn't over yet. Steph is just incredible. He'll throw the ball over his own head and someone finishes with a dunk. He hits a deep three, then steals the ball and finishes with a lay-up. Draymond sees the floor. His court vision and communication — having a teammate like that is genuinely great. And then there's a guy like Jimmy Butler. You can't forget what he's capable of once he's back fully healthy. The combination of their experience and the energy from the young core creates a dynamic that makes every game challenging. What excites me most is joining a hungry, angry Warriors team that wants to prove itself," Niang said.
