Yegor Amosov Leaves Real Madrid for UConn
The 18-year-old forward has swapped Real Madrid's academy for a college basketball career at Connecticut, with RBF's Sergei Monya backing the move.
Sergei Monya of the RBF says Yegor Amosov, an 18-year-old forward, has left Real Madrid's system for Connecticut's basketball programme in the NCAA this off-season.
Amosov joined Real Madrid's set-up in the summer of 2025. Before that, he made his VTB League debut in 2023 and, in the 2024/25 season, earned a rotation spot at Samara. The Spanish club gave him one brief run-out with the senior side in the ACB.
Monya compared Amosov to another Russian prospect, Alexei Ryzhov, noting they are both athletic, quick in transition, and capable of running alongside and competing with more physically imposing opponents on the perimeter.
