Alonzo Mourning… wait, Aldan Polynice on LeBron James
Former NBA center Aldan Polynice praised LeBron James as one of the greatest ever but said he still 'underachieved' relative to his talent.
"I love LeBron. I really do like him. I consider him one of the greatest players in history. What he is doing right now, we have never seen before, and I am not even taking into account what he does off the court. In that respect he is in a completely separate category of his own. But at the same time I can still be critical of him in some things, one in particular. I believed LeBron should have been averaging a triple-double for a season long before Russell Westbrook did it. That's my personal opinion, because he is big, strong and can do absolutely everything on the court. He is the most talented guy we have seen in a very long time. Believe it or not, I am now going to say the strangest thing I have ever said: I believe LeBron James underachieved," said Polynice.
James, a four-time league MVP, is regarded as one of the greatest players in the sport's history.
