Nikola Jokic Praises Nearly Every Rival Center
Jokic named seven NBA centers — Zubac, Nurkic, Gobert, Duren, Carter, Turner and Wembanyama — as tough defenders when asked who guards him best.
Nikola Jokic was asked who defends him best in the NBA, and named nearly every centre in the league.
"Everyone. Some teams do it well at the team level. Others have outstanding individual specialists. Ivica Zubac does it very well, so does Jusuf Nurkic. They're bigger, I can't move them off their spot. Rudy Gobert is a great defender, but I usually manage to do alright against him. Jalen Duren lacks size, but he has his own tricks. Wendell Carter is shorter too. Myles Turner blocks a lot of shots. Not to mention Wembanyama. They're all good. There's a lot of talent in the league on both ends of the floor," Jokic said.
