Former NBA champion Richard Jefferson says LeBron James would be his blueprint for building the perfect basketball player, praising his complete skill set.
Richard Jefferson has named the player he would use as the template if he had to build a basketball player from scratch: LeBron James.
"Kareem had the greatest career, Bill Russell won more championships than anyone, and Michael is an icon. Kobe Bryant did a lot for the mental side of the game... but if you had to build a basketball player, you couldn't build a better one than LeBron James. No question. There's no skill that isn't in his arsenal, no physical trait missing. So if I were building a basketball player mentally and physically, he's the one I'd build," Jefferson said.
Jefferson weighed up the usual list of all-time greats, noted Bryant's influence on the mental side of the sport, and settled on James as the complete package.
