Ex-NBA guard Jeff Teague says Tracy McGrady likely would have won a title with Shaquille O'Neal, though doubts he'd match Kobe Bryant's later success.
Jeff Teague has weighed in on Tracy McGrady's claim that he could have won a championship with the Lakers had he played alongside Shaquille O'Neal instead of Kobe Bryant.
"I think he probably would have won at least one title. It seems to me that pretty much any top shooting guard of that era could have become a champion alongside Shaq. But what Kobe achieved after O'Neal left — with Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum and the rest — I can't say for certain that McGrady would have been able to repeat that," Teague said on his podcast.
