Beverley Fires Back at Ben Simmons Again

Patrick Beverley has returned to the subject of Ben Simmons, sending a pointed message to the guard after his move to Sacramento.

"Hey, Ben. I don't want to hear that nonsense. I don't want to. Everybody in the NBA is banged up. Everybody has taken injuries. I know people who know you, who are close to you, and they tell me: 'He doesn't love basketball. He's a coward.' Well, I'm not a coward. I had a broken kneecap. People retire from injuries like that. They drained fluid from my knee. Ask anybody from the Clippers. It didn't stop me. I love basketball. I'm 38, and I'm still playing. That's how much I love this game. And your response says a lot about who you really are as a person. What are we even talking about, man? Enough. You've got a chance. You've got another chance. A chance that, in my view, people usually don't get. A chance that, in my opinion, other people deserve more than you… I don't know if you understand that or not, but anyway, respect to you, bro. You're heading to Sacramento. Well done. Hope you go there and torch everybody," said Beverley.

The remarks read as another round in a running feud between the two rather than a one-off jab, and they land just as Simmons tries to rebuild his standing on a new roster.
