Dario Šarić Reflects on Return to Anadolu Efes
Back at Efes after ten NBA years, Šarić says the club now carries a champion's confidence and body language built through two EuroLeague titles.
The Croatian forward spent two seasons at Efes before moving to the NBA in 2016. Šarić described what he found on coming back.
"Everything changes. Efes became EuroLeague champions. The faces around me are familiar. But the mentality is different. There is confidence now, the swagger of a champion side. They play with the weight of a title now. But the changes are obvious. Efes was always an elite team. But now they carry the status of champions. They can always raise their level. Now it is not enough just to reach the play-offs, here they crave victories, because there is history behind them. After a decade in the NBA, returning to Efes made sense. Into a group of people I know. To regain confidence, to take part in good games. It seemed like the best option," Šarić said.
