ESPN's Brian Windhorst says contract extension talks between the Knicks and Karl-Anthony Towns haven't progressed, with clarity expected around media day.
Karl-Anthony Towns has two years left on his Knicks contract, with a player option on the second, and negotiations over an extension have not moved forward, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
Towns is eligible for an extension worth roughly $275m over four years. Media day is roughly a week and a half away, by Windhorst's reckoning, and by all accounts that is when the picture around his future in New York should start to clear.
