Julius Randle: I Copied LeBron James's Pre-Game Habit
Julius Randle told ESPN's Brian Windhorst that LeBron James inspired him to arrive at arenas hours early to work on his shot alone before big playoff games.
Julius Randle picked up a pre-game habit from LeBron James, according to ESPN insider Brian Windhorst.
Windhorst said on the Hoop Collective podcast that Randle told him about it during Minnesota's playoff series against Oklahoma City.
"When the Timberwolves were playing the Thunder, Julius Randle told me it was LeBron who inspired him to do this. Before important playoff games, LeBron, as is well known, would arrive at the arena three to four hours before tip-off and work on his shot alone. So Julius started doing the same thing and would show up at the Thunder's arena about two and a half to three hours before the game," Windhorst said.
Randle, 31, spent two seasons in Minnesota after arriving from New York. He now moves on again, joining Brooklyn.
