Hapoel Jerusalem owner Adelson: No one can replace Jared Harper
Matan Adelson says Hapoel Jerusalem have searched for weeks for a replacement after Jared Harper's injury, but any new signing will not match the point guard.
Hapoel Jerusalem owner Matan Adelson has confirmed the club has spent several weeks looking for a new player after an injury to point guard Jared Harper, and said no one signed will match him.
"It's no secret that we have been searching the market for a player for several weeks now. But whoever comes in will not be comparable to Jared. We will do everything we can to find the best replacement – a player who will help us reach our goals," Adelson said.
He described the task as close to impossible. "When you have a player like Jared Harper, losing a basketball player like that almost makes replacing him impossible, no matter who comes in to take his place. I am very happy with the roster we have managed to put together, and I believe in what we have built," Adelson added.
Earlier reports said Hapoel was close to signing Lorenzo Brown from Milan.
If Brown does arrive, he would step into a role the owner himself says cannot be filled like for like.
