Steven Adams jokes GTA VI will hurt NBA play in November
The Rockets centre quipped that November's release of Grand Theft Auto VI will drag down performance across the NBA before things return to normal.
Steven Adams has warned NBA fans to brace for a dip in quality across the league next month, though the Rockets centre was joking. He pointed to the release of Grand Theft Auto VI as the cause.
"I'll say this: you should prepare for November. The level of play across the league is going to drop. GTA is coming out. So watch the NFL, watch all the other leagues — and you'll see the level of play start to fall. It will only be for November, and then everything should go back to normal… and that applies to the coaches too," Adams joked.
Adams, who has spent the last two years with Houston, made the comment as the city braces for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
